GPS Clock Workshop a big success!

George N2APB

What a great time we had on Saturday, April 6.  Some 14 members gathered at N2APB's home and assembled their GPS Clock Kits in the first-ever TLARC Workshop!  Eight of us got the kit built and working without a flaw, while 3 others had some repairable issues, and 3 others had time-crunch issues in completing theirs.

Those getting Gold Stars on their TLARC Certificates for participating in the Workshop include:  Dave N1ESK, Emily KB1NXN, Barry K8NWB, Brent K4BNN, David KN4LMM, George WB9TFR, Mike KK6OKU, Juan AC6ZM, Randy WK9M, Sam KV4XY, Gary KN4TRV (who just passed his General exam!), Alan K1AT, David KF4DKW and Jim K0RGI.

This has been an incredible accomplishment for all ... Way to go!

Great news! Glad everyone had a good time.

One question....... why wasn't this "workshop" posted on the group website, or here, for those who couldn't attend the last meeting? I am sure more would have attended.

As usual, thanks for putting this on. Hopefully, there will be another session for the ones who couldn't attend.

Hi Mike,

Total mea culpa on my side.  I' had been working on getting interest together for 3 months of meetings and thought everyone who was interested has expressed their interest, and that (plus the meeting minutes) would suffice. Not sure how many people read these messages on the list, or even visit the website, but will ramp that up a bit.

We'll have another Workshop soon for others who'd like to make the GPS Clock ... and I'll be sure that you're included!

See you next week at the meeting.

No ones fault, mine actually I was in a hurry. Dave’s daughter said she may work on the old board. If not please let me know when the next workshop is.
Thanks George, it was fun just the same.

Geo,

Can you send over a list of the folks who have signed onto the groups.io page? I’m trying to determine who has NOT signed up yet, to ensure they are receiving the club updates, and to encourage them to sign on.

Tx, David
