Good evening, all! This is an All-Call for licensed Club volunteers to support Lenoir City's upcoming festival event on Sep 24, 2022. The Civitan organizers today requested we provide amateur radio comm support for the event.
We are still working to clarify planning details and hopefully will meet with the organizers early next week. For now, we expect our support operations window could run from 8:00am EDT to noon EDT. More to follow as we confirm the details. Last year, our comm mission focused on directing arriving vendor trucks and show cars to available parking/staging areas along Broadway St (Hwy 11). Except for Net Control, all comms were via portable Handheld Transceivers (HTs). The event provided all operators functional training in communicating on a tactical net.
